Manuscript Template
All submissions are thoroughly checked for plagiarism using iThenticate. Any manuscript that shows obvious signs of plagiarism will be automatically rejected. In case plagiarism is discovered in a paper that has already been published by the journal, it will be retracted in accordance with the procedure described below under Retraction policy. The journal Contemporary Agriculture will disclose information about violations of research ethics (by informing the authors’ institutions and relevant professional associations, as well as the editorial boards of other affected journals, if applicable), will retract the disputed article from the journal and permanently ban the authors from publishing in the journal Contemporary Agriculture.
Peer Review
The submitted manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process. All of the reviewers of a manuscript remain anonymous to the authors before, during and after the evaluation process, whereas the authors remain anonymous to reviewers until the manuscript is published. The review is conducted by at least two reviewers. The approximate deadline for manuscript review is 30 days from the date of acceptance of the paper for review by a reviewer. In the main review phase, the Section Editor sends a submitted manuscript to at least two experts in the field. The reviewer evaluation form contains a checklist in order to help reviewers cover all aspects that can help decide the fate of a submission. In the final section of the evaluation form, the reviewers must include observations and suggestions aimed at improving the submitted manuscript; these are sent to authors, without the names of the reviewers. All reviewers of a manuscript act independently and they are not aware of each other’s identities. If the decisions of the two reviewers are not the same (accept/reject), the Section Editor may assign additional reviewers.
